About Me

I am a Consultant Psychologist with postgraduate degrees in Clinical Psychology and Philosophy, complemented by a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. My practice integrates clinical psychology, counselling, and philosophical perspectives, with a focus on holistic and evidence-informed psychological care. My clinical work includes psychological assessment, counselling, and therapeutic interventions. I have experience working with both Indian and international clients and primarily draw on Metacognitive Therapy and psychodynamic perspectives, complemented by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Existential Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Previously, I worked as a Psychologist at Chandigarh University, providing psychological assessment, counselling, and psychosocial support for diverse academic, emotional, interpersonal, behavioural, and developmental concerns. With over six years of experience in lecturing and higher education, I have presented and presided over academic papers at seminars and conferences, organized academic and psychological programmes, and contributed to numerous wellbeing initiatives, including outreach programmes, awareness sessions, workshops, and group activities. I am qualified in UGC-NET and Kerala SET. I am also the author of A Sacred Metaphor, a published poetry collection exploring philosophical and existential themes. My professional interests include adolescent and young adult mental health, child and geriatric mental health, emotional regulation, metacognitive processes, trauma-informed care, psychodynamic practice, relationship and interpersonal concerns, and gender and identity concerns. My practice is grounded in person-centred, ethical, culturally sensitive, and evidence-informed care, with an emphasis on psychological insight and sustainable therapeutic change.
