About Me

As a psychiatrist with hands-on clinical experience at the Government Mental Health Centre, Kozhikode, I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions. I bring a strong foundation in clinical assessment, paired with an empathetic and collaborative approach that fosters a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental therapeutic space for every client. My professional journey has spanned diverse settings, including active involvement in District Mental Health Programmes, where I worked closely with multidisciplinary teams—particularly social workers—to deliver accessible, community-centered mental health care. I am deeply committed to trauma-informed and mindfulness-based practices, recognizing the profound influence of lived experiences on psychological well-being. I focus on understanding the individual behind the diagnosis, tailoring care that respects each person's unique journey. My areas of clinical expertise include complex psychiatric presentations, and I am passionate about helping individuals navigate challenges such as: ADHD Anxiety disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Sexual health concerns, Addiction and substance use disorders, Personality disorders, Mood disorders, Schizophrenia, and Gender dysphoria. I believe in the inherent resilience and inner resources of every individual. My role is to support and empower clients to rediscover and strengthen their coping strategies for sustainable mental health. My therapeutic approach integrates personalized, evidence-based psychotherapy, judicious medical management, and holistic lifestyle interventions. I also incorporate advanced treatments such as Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) when clinically appropriate.
